Ekta Kapoor earlier rolled out the poster of her latest web series, M.O.M – Mission Over Mars. The series is inspired by the tale of the women behind the successful Mangalyaan mission of India. The poster was launched on her birthday.

The web series, featuring Nidhi Singh, Mona Singh, and Palomi Ghosh, on its end, shows the story of 4 female researchers who were comprised in India’s Mars Orbiter Mission that was rolled out in 2013.

The poster of the web series, which will be shown on the ALT Balaji, features (what appears to be a Russian Soyuz launch aircraft) overlaid with the Indian flag.

Mangalayaan or the Mars Orbiter Mission by ISRO, on the other hand, was rolled out using C25, a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket. This means, in what seems to be a huge flaw, the poster sports the incorrect space rocket!

Eagle-eyed admirers were, on the other hand, swift to notice the error and made it a point to showcase on social media.

One fan claimed, “The fact that the image employs the incorrect rocket is already a huge error,” while another posted, “Can it be that they did not have a single professional as an advisor for this show?”

The tweet by Ekta Kapoor witnessed her writing that she made a decision to make the show almost 2.5 years back when she came upon the amazing tale about females in Indian science.

As per the post, the web series is based on females who sent the mission on mars—partially fictional considering the sacred nature of ISRO.

She further posted, “We are happy to present thus half fiction half real tale that is based on the huge accomplishment of all the females behind Indian science,” claiming, “This Show is our compliment to our unsung heroes.”

ALT Balaji has launched a statement and claimed: “Our forthcoming web series is a fictional version of the real life champions at ISRO who collaborated on Mangalyaan and set a huge landmark putting India resolutely on the global map. On the other hand, as a tactical call taken by various parties, we have gone down the creative route for this web series. In addition to this, we are lawfully bound not to employ actual images or names either of the objects, people, or agencies comprised. Considering all these points and our contractual limitations, publicity material of the web series was developed.”

Fans are now cool with the blunder but they are surely waiting for the launch of the series. The launch of Chandrayaan 2 by ISRO lately had already created the hype among the fans. And this web series adds more to it.
