Booo Sabki Phategi Review, Trailer & Cast

Being the most popular genres in TV serials and films, now horror and comedy have entered in web series too. A viewer always looks forward to either laugh his guts out or get scared out of his wits. Hence, when ALT Balaji came out with Booo Sabki Phategi, its first ever horror-comedy web series, users were looking for the same.

The streaming service rolled out 8 episodes of the show. The series has been directed by Farhad Samji who normally joins hand with Sajid Samji. As all its businesses, ALT Balaji had gone on a promotion bombardment for Booo Sabki Phategi all over digital, social media, on-ground activations, television, the print medium, and radio along with offline campaigns. The streaming service also joined hands with Vijay Sales (electronics retail store chain) for in-store branding of the show. Apart from this, Booo Sabki Phategi turned out to be the first ever web show to be touted on The Kapil Sharma Show.

With a star cast that comprises Mallika Sherawat, Tusshar Kapoor, Krushna Abhishek, Sanjay Mishra, and Kiku Sharda, one is aware that it is not your intellectual type of a horror-comedy series. The trailer for the show clearly made it obvious what is in for the viewers. After films such as the Golmaal series, there is still an opportunity for the “do not apply logic” kind of content.

Booo Sabki Phategi Review

Booo Sabki Phategi does not have any scary moments, but a lot of funny ones. The setting is fantastic. The characters are as funny as they can be. This makes the users compare the show with classic old Bollywood movies such as Bhaago Bhoot Aaya and Bhoot Bangla.

Booo Sabki Phategi makes use of classical paranormal incidents and characters from well-known films. Hence, viewers will see the witch from Stree, Manjulika from Bhool Bulaiya, the Nun from The Conjuring series, and so on. Aloes, we get to witness Tusshar Kapoor enter into his Golmaal mode. Even though his character is scorned by others all the time, there is more to him than what the users see. He has a hidden mysterious side that nobody is aware of.

Booo Sabki Phategi Trailer

Mallika Sherawat is seen after a long time on any screen. The series utilizes her oomph ability to great lengths and she does make for an attractive ghostly character.

Kiku Sharda and Krushna Abhishek make a poor attempt to bring in the laughter, but the two are not able to get out of the TV comedy show mode.

The greatest secrecy of all in the wen series is Sanjay Mishra? What is he doing here?

Having said this, Booo Sabki Phategi had great ability, but it will not work out for the audience. Also, it is expectedly to do well amongst the comedy fans of the comic actors. If you are the type of person who looks for sensibleness everywhere, the show is not for you. But if senseless comedies with a pinch of horror work for you, then Booo Sabki Phategi is defiantly a treat for you.
