Due to coronavirus pandemic, recently several movies have been directly released on OTT platforms. And one more such Punjabi movie is making its way to Netflix. Apart from this, the sensitive topic of the movie is what has grabbed the attention of the audiences: female infanticide. The movie will be produced by Manomay Motion Pictures and directed by Terrie Samundra. The plot is scripted by Walter Lech and Terrie Samundra.

Kaali Khuhi is all about the cruel practice of female infanticide in Punjab. The film will depict the story of a 10-year-old girl who wishes to eliminate this practice from a village in Punjab. As we know, Punjab is a state in which social issues such as domestic violence, drug addiction, female infanticide, and child marriage is still prevailing. This film will emphasize why there is a drop in the sex ratio in this state.
