Marathi film ‘Sairat’ fame Rinku Rajguru is now starting her innings on the OTT platform. Rinku is going to play a very important role in Hotstar’s special web series Hundred. The trailer of the web series will be released on 21 April 2020.
Rinku played the role of Archie in Marathi cinema’s Sairat highly successful and acclaimed film Sairat. Rinku was well-liked in this character and gained recognition in the country by venturing out of the Marathi cinema. Karan Johar later remade Sairat, making Sridevi’s daughter Jahnavi Kapoor start her career. Jahnavi played the role of Rinku in the film.
Hotstar Special Hundred is an action-comedy show in which Rinku’s character is named Netra Patil. Talking about this to PTI, Rinku said – Hundred is my first web series and it was a great experience working in it. This digital medium is currently on the rise and has become a great means of entertainment. I am happy to be a part of the digital world, especially for platforms like Hotstar, which have so much popularity. Regarding his character, Rinku said that people will see a new look at this character in every episode.
The special thing is that Lara Dutta will also be seen in an important role in this web series. Lara also has this digital debut. In the web series, Lara will be seen as a narcotics control bureau officer. This character of Lara will be very different. She will be seen in the role of an officer who does not like her subordinates. The web series of 9 episodes have been directed by Ruchi Narayan. TV actor Karan Wahi will also be seen in the show.
