Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Review, Cast, Trailer, Story, Plot

Mrs. Serial Killer is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller film that got released on 1st May 2020, produced as an Original for Netflix. The film is written and directed by Shirish Kunder and produced by his wife Farah Khan. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Manoj Bajpayee and Mohit Raina in the main lead roles. This web film also marks second digital appearance for Fernandez who was last seen in Drive, though it is her first collaboration with Netflix.

Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Plot

Mrs. Serial Killer story is woven around a woman named Sona Mukherjee (Jacqueline Fernandez), whose husband Mrityunjay Mukherjee (Manoj Bajpayee) is arrested by the police as a suspected serial killer. Subsequently, his shattered wife starts killing in the same pattern to prove her husband innocent. The core of the show is how far would she go for love in the crime thriller.

Mrs. Serial Killer is a very confused & slack crime thriller, which is heavily let down by underwhelmed writing & muddled screenplay. While watching the movie, you will ponder whether you are watching a thriller or comedy.

The movie is trounced and quite probable. I don’t know why the director went for non-Hindi speaking lead actress. Jacqueline is not at all apt for the role, the delivery of the dialogue is frail and couldn’t justify the character. Any other talented, Hindi-speaking actress could have done a far better job in the movie.

Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Trailer

Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Cast

  • Jacqueline Fernandez
  • Manoj Bajpayee
  • Mohit Raina

Leading actress Jacqueline failed to implement her job, her paucity of command on Hindi is easily visible on the screen, Manoj Vajpayee and Mohit Raina have done justice to their respective roles.

Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Direction

Director Shirish Kunder couldn’t helm the movie well, he seems pretty confused & fragile while filming Mrs. Serail Killer and saddened his viewers who were eagerly waiting for this movie.

Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Cinematography

Camera work is impecunious, the cinematographer has tried to depict in style but he ends up with a constraining job.

Netflix Mrs. Serial Killer Review

The editing is worse, especially in the first half, most of the scenes are incomplete. It feels like an automatic fast pace. Thus, that killed the first half excitement. As the story is quite predictable despite the poor efforts to make it look like a good thriller, this movie is prosaic.

VERDICT– BORING

Our Rating: 5/2
