With loads of cynical humor and the fast-paced storytelling along with the superb performances by the characters in the two seasons of Netflix’s Sacred Games, the show has been quite enthralling and, at the same time, dark and witty. And with a cliffhanger ending in season 2, the audience is waiting for the arrival of season 3 and soon this may come to pass as well. The series is directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

Netflix Sacred Games Season 2 Plot

The Sacred Games’ both seasons had kept the viewers at the edge throughout the series wondering what would pop up next. The loose threads of season 1 were picked up in Season 2 and the story continued. The season 2 kicks off in 1994 with Ganesh Gaitonde (played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui) being trapped up on a boat far from Mumbai in a sea. The series takes us through the life of Gaitonde over 23 years (1994–2017). During these years, he gets to meet Guruji (showcased by Pankaj Tripathi), cognizes Trivedi (played Chittaranjan Tripathy), refracts the demands of Amruta Subhash showcasing Yadav Madam as a RAW agent.

On the other hand, Sartaj Singh (portrayed by Saif Ali Khan) is seen sorting out the different hints, with each of them getting him closer to resolve the case. And then he has 25 days to get the hold of the case—possibly a nuclear attack—as, if not resolved, can destroy Mumbai. Also, as the story moves, we understand why Gaitonde killed JoJo and then end his own life. And yet again the season 2 ended at a cliffhanger with Sartaj entering the code to defuse the bomb for the third time and the screen is blacked out. This has given the viewers hope and enthusiasm for season 3.
